Recurring Billing for Lawn Care

Recurring revenue is the point of a maintenance contract — but only if the billing actually recurs without you. Green Ledger turns each signed contract into a payment schedule that bills, collects and retries on its own.

Plans start at $50.00/month with unlimited team members. See all plans.

Sound familiar?

  • Seasonal contracts billed unevenly because someone forgot a month.
  • Customers who want to pay monthly while the work is front-loaded in spring.
  • Cards that expire or fail, and nobody notices until the season is over.
  • No easy way to add a mid-season change without redoing the whole agreement.

How it works in Green Ledger

  1. 1

Set the payment schedule on the contract

Choose how each line bills — per visit, monthly, or spread evenly across the season — and when the first invoice goes out.

  2. 2

Customer signs and enrolls in autopay

From the same secure link, the customer signs and can save a card or bank account for automatic payment.

  3. 3

    Billing runs by itself

Invoices generate and send on schedule; autopay charges on the due date.

  4. 4

    Failed payments retry

When a charge fails, Green Ledger retries on a schedule and keeps you informed instead of letting the balance quietly grow.

  5. 5

    Amend mid-season

Add or change services with an amendment the customer re-signs; the billing schedule updates to match.

What you get

Contract-driven schedules

Each contract line has its own price, frequency and billing rule, so complex agreements still bill correctly.

Card and ACH autopay

Customers choose card or ACH bank account for one-time payments and for autopay.

Automatic retries

Failed autopay attempts retry automatically, with a clear record of each attempt.

Amendments with re-signing

Mid-season changes are captured as signed amendments, not side notes.

Aging and revenue reports

See outstanding balances by customer and revenue by month, exportable to CSV.

Customer choice

Customers who prefer not to enroll in autopay still get a pay link on every invoice.

Common questions

Can I bill a seasonal contract in equal monthly payments?

Yes. Set the contract's payment schedule to spread the total across the months you choose, and Green Ledger generates the invoices accordingly.

What happens when a customer's card fails?

The payment is retried automatically on a schedule. Each attempt is logged, and you can see failed payments on the invoice and in reports.

Can customers pay by bank transfer instead of card?

Yes. Both card and ACH bank payments are supported, for one-time payments and for autopay.

How do I change a contract mid-season?

Create an amendment. The customer re-signs the amended terms and the billing schedule updates to match. The original and amended versions are both kept.
