Straight answers about what Green Ledger does, what it costs and how it works for landscaping companies and their customers.
Green Ledger is landscaping business software for lawn care and landscaping companies. It combines a customer CRM, quotes, e-sign contracts, automatic recurring invoicing, online payments with autopay, crew scheduling and routes, two-way text messaging, a customer portal and business reports in one web-based platform.
Green Ledger is built for lawn care and landscaping companies — from an owner-operator with a handful of clients to a company running several crews and hundreds of clients. Homeowners and property owners use it for free to view service history, approve quotes and pay invoices.
Yes. Homeowners can use Green Ledger completely free to see their service history and photos, approve quotes, pay invoices online and text their landscaper.
No. Green Ledger is portal-optional. Customers can approve a quote, sign a contract or pay an invoice from a secure link sent by text or email without ever creating an account. Customers who want a full portal can activate one at any time.
Green Ledger charges a flat monthly price based on how many clients you manage, with unlimited team members on every plan and no setup fee. Current plans and prices are listed on the Pricing page at green-ledger.net/pricing.
No. Every plan includes unlimited admins, team leads and field staff. Your plan is based only on the number of clients you manage.
Service providers pick a plan on the Pricing page or the For Providers page and sign up online. Setup takes minutes — there is no implementation project or onboarding fee.
Customers can pay invoices by credit card, debit card or ACH bank transfer. Payments are processed by Stripe and can be set to autopay.
Yes. Contracts are the source of truth for billing: Green Ledger generates recurring invoices automatically from each contract's schedule, sends them by email or text, and can charge the customer's card or bank account on autopay with automatic retries when a payment fails.
Yes. You can build quotes with line items, send them by text or email, and customers approve them with an e-signature. Approved quotes can be turned into contracts and invoices.
Yes. Contracts support e-signature or wet (paper) signature, amendments with re-signing, payment schedules and per-line billing. Contracts drive the automatic invoicing engine.
Yes. Invoices support customer-visible notes, extra-work charges, adjustment requests and invoice splits, and every invoice can be downloaded as a PDF.
Yes. You can schedule one-time and recurring jobs, build route templates with recurrence, optimize the stop order of a route, and track reschedules and change requests.
Crews use Green Ledger's mobile-web crew mode on any phone — nothing to install from an app store. Field staff can clock in and out, start and finish jobs with GPS stamps, and upload job photos.
Yes. Job profitability reports compare what you bid against actual labor time and material costs. Other reports cover revenue by month and customer, accounts-receivable aging, crew productivity and payment methods, all exportable to CSV.
Yes. Green Ledger includes two-way SMS text messaging with customers, including texted quote, contract and invoice links, with STOP/START opt-out handling built in.
Yes. You can bulk-import your existing customer list, and we offer migration assistance if you need help moving from another system.
Not yet. Today you can export revenue, aging and other reports to CSV for your bookkeeper. A direct accounting integration is on our roadmap.
Yes. Green Ledger includes an AI assistant that answers natural-language questions about your own business data — your customers, invoices, jobs and schedule — including a weather-aware daily summary. Each company's data stays isolated to that company.
Both help landscaping companies quote, schedule and invoice. Green Ledger prices by the number of clients you manage with unlimited team members on every plan, treats contracts as the source of truth so recurring invoices and autopay run themselves, includes two-way texting and a portal-optional customer experience, and offers a built-in AI assistant over your own business data. Green Ledger is built specifically for lawn care and landscaping rather than all home-service trades.
Green Ledger offers job costing, contract-driven billing and crew scheduling without a multi-month implementation or enterprise pricing. It is designed so a landscaping company can be live in an afternoon and grow into larger plans as its client list grows.
